Outsourced accounting or an in-house accountant: which to choose

· 5 min read

In short

Outsourcing is more cost-effective for small and medium-sized companies: it costs less than the full cost of an in-house accountant (6.7–7.8 million soum a month in Tashkent including social tax), doesn't depend on vacations and sick leave, and liability for errors is set out in the contract. An in-house accountant makes sense when there are so many transactions that you need someone in the office every day.

When outsourcing pays off

  • The company has up to a few dozen employees and a moderate number of transactions.
  • You need specialist knowledge (foreign trade, controlled transactions, IT Park incentives) that one person may not have.
  • You don't want to depend on one employee and put reporting deadlines at risk.
  • The company is just starting out or is temporarily inactive.

When you need an in-house accountant

  • Hundreds of transactions a day, a cash desk, a warehouse, source documents that have to be processed on site.
  • The accountant needs to be constantly involved in the work of other departments.

A mixed option

A combination often works: an employee in the office collects documents and handles the cash desk, while an outsourced team handles the accounting, reporting and taxes. This way the company saves on a chief accountant without losing control.

How to switch to outsourcing

The switch takes a few weeks: a free audit of your current accounting, a contract with a fixed price, handover of access to 1C and the bank, an NDA. See how we work and calculate the cost with the calculator. A detailed breakdown of prices is in our article "How much does an accountant cost in Tashkent".
